Two losses in a row, injury to Evander Kane – Sabres not looking good at the moment

This has been a tough week to say the least. The Canadiens are really pretty good right now. PK is fun to watch, but they smoked us bad. Next, the Devils came in and Adam Henrique stole the show from the Eichel, and then as I was just commenting on how excited I was that we had a healthy Evander Kane on the roster, he takes a knee to knee hit in the corner and is out for 4-6 weeks. I said MCL sprain right then and there, and sure enough we found out yesterday that he’ll be gone for a month or two – great.

I don’t even want to talk about this city’s road trip, getting lost in the London EJ Fog, so I won’t – it was a bad week for Buffalo sports all the way around.

I don’t believe in curses and magic, but I might start to after watching Daniel Murphy hit homers in 7 straight games, in the playoffs, and then finding out that the name of the Billy Goat who cursed the Cubs was named – wait for it – Murphy. I am not making this stuff up.

So to say that our teams are cursed may actually have merit, what with everything so s*itty happening to us now. But curses are made to be broken, so let’s whip the Flyers today. I have a feeling we are gonna get another highlight reel special from the Eichel. I hope he goes top-shelf where momma hides the cookies – Rick Jeanerette is the best when he gets to throw that one out there.

After two tough losses, we need to continue to play well on the Power Play and let’s see if Eichel and Moulson can score. Jack Eichel stepping up would surely lift all our spirits.

Go Sabres. Go Buffalo.

Sabres fan since NHL ’94 for Sega Genesis came out with the Sabres’ top line of Alexander Mogilny, Pat LaFontaine and Dale Howerchuck with Alexei Zhitnik and Richard Smehlik on D and Domink Hasek in net – best lineup in the game!

“I believe that the Sabres were robbed in ’99 when Hull’s skate was in the crease. Now Buffalo is home and I am looking for a Cup and a Super Bowl in short order. We have the talent and the coaching and the ownership – what is stopping us?”

Go Bills, Go Sabres, Go Bisons!
