A Seneca Street building owner has finally sold his building. After years of watching Larkinville build up around him, the owner finally decided that it was time to play ball and give up the property – for $550,000. A transaction, recorded on Tuesday, has been confirmed between 760 Seneca St. Incorporated and SelectOne RE Holdings LLC. This is big news for Larkinville, because not only is the building situated almost directly across from Larkin Square, the structure itself is absolutely gorgeous and should play a big role in the future of the district.
SelectOne RE Holdings is an LLC formed by the SelectOne Search – the company that will be taking the top two floors of the building. The business is moving from Amherst. Plans are to renovate the building and restore the first floor into a commercial footprint.
“The three-story building has 11,925 sq.ft. of space. The Romanesque Revival structure is the former F.X. Winkler and Sons grocery store, established in 1857 on Seneca Street and moved to this building after its construction around 1893. The Winkler family closed the grocery in 1968.” – Previous BRO article
