On Friday, October 23 from 11am to 2pm, the community is invited to attend the Artfarms Family Fall Celebration, in conjunction with Green Shoots for New Americans – Refugee Agricultural Program.
The fall fest celebration will be held at the Michigan Riley Farm, where refugee families have dug in (literally), along with friends, neighbors, farmers, and community partners.
Everyone is welcome to take part in the fall festivities, which will feature fall-themed art activities for children (pumpkin painting and mask making), free cider, doughnuts and apples.
Come see what is so special about this wonderful farm located on the city’s East Side. Come take a seat at the Tree Table, which was hand crafted specifically for Artfarms and the Michigan Riley Farm. Learn about these spirited initiatives and meet some of the people who are making a difference in Buffalo, by creating a place that is vibrant, productive and welcoming.
The event is sponsored by the Matt Urban Human Services Center.
