This Labor Day, a different type of event will be hosted at MLK Park. The festival is dedicated to peace and non-violence in Buffalo, and throughout the world.
Organizers are inviting people from all over the region to attend a special celebration that includes a peace walk, barbecue, children’s activities and a number of heart warming performances by the Buffalo Ukulele Club, Kenny Woo, Peter Sorkin, Chuckie Campbell and Ismail & Co. Along with the live music, Buffalo’s highly regarded puppeteer, Michele Costa, will be performing Butterfly Sky (lead image), which pays tribute to the Civil Rights Bill of 1964.
On Monday, September 7, 2015, join together with over 80 groups that are dedicated to peace and non-violence issues. Help support the united efforts of the WNY Coalition of Peace and Nonviolence Advocates, Stop The Violence Coalition, the WNY Peace Center, and other peace activist groups as they stand together to promote safer communities.
