Pasteurized Tees, quite possibly the ultimate Buffalo t-shirt store, has moved into a new and improved location towards the heart of Elmwood Avenue.
Business owner, Michael Bowen, along with shop manager/print technician Colin Griffin have taken what was already a proven apparel recipe and amplified it with a bigger and better location. I say better because Michael (photo right) acknowledges that while the 500 block of Elmwood will soon become a popular bar and restaurant destination, 795 Elmwood is situated in a prime retail zone, surrounded by bustling quaint shops. “On weekends I would see the foot traffic down here and realize that we were getting the occasional lost stragglers, who were wondering if there was anything further down the line,” Michael told me. “With the increase in space, we have been able to add to the number of color shirts that are available – 70+ total (split between male and female), with 50 ink choices. We now have 80 unique Buffalo designs, and we can print on anything from pillow cases to underwear to gloves (as long as it’s flat).”
The interior of the Pasteurized Tees shop looks smashing. It’s wide open, with high tin ceilings, and plenty deep. The illuminated phone booth changing room and the 3D textured back wall give a contemporary kick to an otherwise simple and super streamlined space. The layout allows the t-shirt designs, and the t-shirts themselves, to pop.
Per usual, customers looking for a quick turnaround time can send their print-ready designs to the shop, and collect the finished product the same day (typically). Colin is armed with some new state of the art plotters, which means that they are cranking out the products as fast as customers are snapping them up.
After five years of being up and running, Pasteurized Tees is ready to embark upon a fresh chapter of its business. The slick new store officially opens on Thursday, October 1, 2015. Set up in stylish new digs, and printing up some incredibly clever designs, these guys (and a new gal by the name of Jessica) are set to take the Buffalo t-shirt world by storm.
