In remembrance of the fallen heroes and victims of 9/11, a flag ceremony will be held on top the Scajaquada pedestrian bridge at Delaware Park on September 11. 2015.
The pedestrian bridge was renamed Scajaquada 9/11 Memorial Bridge in 2013, and has since been recognized as a place to pay tribute to those who lost their lives during the tragedy.
Since 2003, local firefighters, police, EMS, military personnel, and veterans have been congregating at the bridge, to participate in the annual Flags on the Bridge remembrance ceremony. This year, the community is invited to take part in the observance.
