Rocco Termini’s plans for the former Faherty’s and Toro restaurants at 490-92 Elmwood Avenue include a second-level patio and a pair of upper level roll-up doors to tie the two buildings together. A rear kitchen addition is also planned. Termini is buying the properties from Nick Kotrides.
A brewery/brew pub is planned for the former Faherty’s space at 490 Elmwood that will be operated by Mike Shatzel. The Toro space will contain a restaurant. BMS Design Studio is preparing the renovation plans.
Termini told BRO when the project came to light two weeks ago, “We’re trying to change the face of this block on Elmwood. We want to bring some life to the block, and if there’s any street that deserves a brewery, it’s Elmwood.
