Slyboots School of Music is joining together with Creative Student After School Program to host a new drum and dance-oriented cultural event at Riverfest Park.
If you know anything about Slyboots, then you know that this will be a hands-on music fest, celebrating the relationship between dance and drum. Join some of the most enthusiastic drummers and dancers in the region for a day of culturally significant art attractions. Learn the rhythms of life, through the primal beats of the drum. Let loose along the water, with friends and family.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Pack a picnic. Take the Metro Rail and walk over, or ride your bike. You can even bring a kayak or canoe.
Riverfest an easy bike ride from Canalside, with all new bike lanes guiding you right to your destination. Following is all of the information that you need to know to enjoy yourself on that day.

Creative Student After School Program, the youth program at Starlight Studio and Art Gallery, will be hosting “Riverfest Beats and Dance” at Riverfest Park on Saturday, August 8th from 1-4PM.
This free event will include instructional group drumming and dance by the Slyboots School of Music, as well as art demos. The goal of this event is to bring together a diverse group of people to celebrate the waterfront development in Buffalo!
