Restore Our Community March and Rally

On August 8, 2015, the community will come together to rally around efforts to “restore Humboldt Parkway and correct the Kensington Mistake.”

Also known as “The Scar”, the Kensington Expressway ripped apart a community that will never recover until the appropriate mends are made.

Humboldt Parkway helped to connect the East Side of the city to Delaware Park. Today it is a tragic thoroughfare that acts as a daily reminder of the travesty that occurred. Now residents and supporters want their voices to be heard loud and clear, that it’s time to restore the parkway and the park system, which will bring life back into the struggling neighborhoods that surround the expressway.
