It’s quick to build. It’s billed as being strong and resilient. It’s also said to be environmentally friendly (heat and water considerations). It’s a series of residential shipping container homes, doubles and multi-family designs, which are testing the waters in Detroit. DailyMail.com has featured the project, which is currently underway, with models planned in high density areas.
Adding interest to the project is the architect behind the homes – Eric Lloyd Wright, who is the grandson of Frank Lloyd Wright.
If you’re thinking that the unit purchase price is presumably cheap, considering the building materials… think again.
