The City is seeking bids for infrastructure improvements for the second phase of houses in the Colvin Estates subdivision in North Buffalo. The 2014 City Capital Budget allocated $500,000 to extend Rachel Vincent Way eastward from Colvin Boulevard. An additional 26 lots are planned.
Twenty-four lots were available in the project’s first phase and were sold in the $225,000 to $310,000+ range. Sales for the Craftsman style homes, designed by Dean Sutton Architects, started in early 2012 and were handled by Hunt Real Estate’s Brian Szkatulski and Candace Koch. Homeowners enjoy a low maintenance lifestyle combined with modern, energy-efficient residences in a convenient city location.
The former railroad right-of-way will eventually see the construction of 127 new homes. Construction on the new phase of houses is expected to begin next year. Bids for the roadwork are due July 8.
