Getting the Wright Boost

Popular real estate blog Curbed National has posted a great article on Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff estate, highlighting the history and restoration of the complex located at 6472 Old Lake Shore Road in Derby.

“Next to Chicago and Oak Park, Illinois, no area can lay claim to as many works by Frank Lloyd Wright as Buffalo, New York. From the sprawling Darwin Martin House to the Larkin Building, from gas stations to boat houses, the numerous examples of the architect’s work in and around the city made a deep impression on the landscape,” writes Curbed’s Patrick Sisson.

Sisson notes that Graycliff, however, is an important example of the landscape making an impression on Wright.

Don’t miss the thoughtful, detailed write-up and many more photos over at Curbed.
