Ballyhoo has recently unveiled its new patio, which is visible along the Michigan Street side of the building. I spoke to owner Tim Stevens who told me that the unusual military and industrial design elements that he tracked down to complete the patio came from Buffalo Vintage & Industrial and Uncle Sam’s Army Navy Outfitters.
Buffalo Vintage & Industrial is one of the coolest furniture and industrial stores in the region, and while located in a rather obscure area in Tonawanda, it’s worth the extra few minutes that it takes to track the place down (see Facebook). Many of the sturdy furniture elements that you see on the patio were sourced at this very unusual business.
The military items that accent the patio were found at Uncle Sam’s Army Navy Outfitters (see Facebook), which is located close by in Larkinville. If it’s military related, Uncle Sam’s has it. I love the way they repurposed the munitions boxes into planter boxes.
I was happy to see these two industrial and military resource centers represented at Ballyhoo. If you have never been to either place, I highly suggest that you take the time to explore both phenomenal design warehouses.
