What’s a naked bike ride without an after party? That’s what Buffalo Energy wanted to know. Rather than sitting around waiting for someone else to organize an event, Buffalo Energy decided to plan the event in hopes of giving scantily clad riders a place to gather once the ride is over.
As for the Buffalo World Naked Bike Ride, the clothed check-in location has been announced. Once people arrive to the corner of North and Franklin (7pm Saturday), the coordinates of the disrobing location will be announced (with $3 suggested donation).
Buffalo is joining more than 70 other cities throughout the world, to shine a light on the need to cut back on fossil fuels by riding bikes (among other measures). If riding in the nude can make people more aware of the need for environmental changes, then, let the following words ring true: “Less Gas, More Ass”.
Once the ride is over, the after party (with DJ) will commence at HandleBar on Swan Street – a previously “undisclothed” location, now made public.
“Naturally we look to contribute to the communities where we work and live,” says Fred Fellendorf, president of Buffalo Energy, “especially when we can support causes that line up directly with what we are passionate about – our world and making it sustainable.”
