Canalside has announced its line-up for the summer outdoor movie series Tuesday Night Flicks. Once a month movie-goers gather at the Canalside lawn at the Inner Harbor to watch a variety of films. This year, the film series revolves around American film director, Wes Anderson. Three of Anderson’s films will be screened – Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom and Fantastic Mr. Fox.
The free film series is brought to the Canalside by Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Art Center, with support from Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation and Arts Services Initiative of Western New York.
The shows begin at dusk (around 9pm). Bring your own blankets and chairs if you wish.

Tuesday Night Flicks to showcase Wes Anderson’s Films at Buffalo’s Canalside
June 9 – Grand Budapest Hotel: The adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous hotel from the fictional Republic of Zubrowka between the first and second World Wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.
July 14 – Moonrise Kingdom: A pair of young lovers flee their New England town, which causes a local search party to fan out to find them.
August 11 – Fantastic Mr. Fox: An urbane fox cannot resist returning to his farm raiding ways and then must help his community survive the farmers’ retaliation.
