Quadcopter Enters Scajaquada Creek Tunnel

In 2014 Concrete Aperture explored the Scajaquada Creek tunnel with a camera (see here). The adventurous explorers were able to capture some dramatic images that opened up our eyes to the eerie world that lies below the surface of the city’s East Side.

Now quadcopter pilot Tim Teach has skillfully piloted his drone into the mouth of the tunnel to inspect the underpass. When I asked how far a drone can travel in unfamiliar surroundings such as this, surrounded in walls of concrete, Tim said, “When it comes to the distances/heights, sometimes it’s best to simply guess and use your best judgment, and take a leap of faith.”

Today Tim is capturing aerials of The Skyride. Can’t wait to see what he comes back with.
