Pushups for Peace: Local Legend to Attempt to Break Guinness World Record

On June 4th and June 5th, 7 time World Pushup Champion Jeff Warrick will attempt to set the Guinness Book of World Records record for the Most Pushups in 24 Hours. The attempt will be made in the front lobby of City Hall.

If you had to take a guess at what the current record is, what would you think? What would you say if I told you that the record is currently 46,001? 46,001!

Until just now, I was not aware that Buffalo had a pushup king. Nor did I think that the pushup record would be anywhere close to 46,001.

Now Jeff is setting out to break that number, and he’s asking the community to come out and cheer him on. If Jeff does succeed in his goal, he is asking that community do something in return. The Pushup Challenge is a way for Jeff to bring up the issue of violence in our community. Jeff is asking that we remember those who have lost their lives at the hands of senseless violence. He’s also calling for peace in 2015.

I’m placing my money on Jeff, that he can accomplish this spectacular feat. Buffalo already has a Limbo Queen. Why not a Pushup King?
