Although named one of the most influential people in the world in Time Magazine, Patti Smith has said, “From very early on in my childhood I felt alien to the human race. I felt very comfortable with thinking I was from another planet.”
Poet. Godmother of Punk. National Book Award Winner. Activist. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee. Fine Artist…Maybe Patti Smith is an alien.
Join Just Buffalo Literary Center on Friday, April 17th at the final installment of the 2014-2015 BABEL series to find out for yourself. Starting at 8:00pm at Kleinhan’s Music Hall (3 Symphony Circle, Buffalo), this much-anticipated event will feature a talk by the Godmother of Punk herself, an audience-generated Q&A, and a book signing.

(This memoir is the text Just Buffalo is calling on all of Buffalo to read in order to prepare for Smith’s visit.) As a fine artist, Smith has exhibited at galleries and museums worldwide.
