Mark Croce’s $18 million transformation of the Curtiss Building at 210 Franklin Street is on track for completion late this year.
The six-story Curtiss Hotel will contain 68 rooms, a full-service three-meal restaurant, high-end finishes, basement-level fitness center, an ‘urban hot spring’ spa pool, and a rooftop patio bar. The ground floor restaurant and lounge will feature a revolving bar modeled after the former Chez Ami restaurant and bar that was located on Delaware Avenue.
While work has been ongoing inside, the better weather has allowed workers to begin installation of the hotel’s windows. The framework is in place for a replacement cornice for the circa-1912 building.
Young + Wright Architects designed the project and R&P Oak Hill is managing the construction.
