Artist Vinny Alejandro’s First Solo Show

Buffalo boomerang artist Vinny Alejandro has his first solo show coming up at Perk’s Café on May 15, 2015, from 6pm-9pm. Since moving back to Buffalo, Vinny’s Urban Inspirations have been captivating the imaginations of Buffalonians, from the Old First Ward to the University District. Now Vinny will be focusing his efforts on showcasing his works in front of a different kind of audience. Normally accustomed to public art creations, the artist will finally be hanging his own show.

“The show is called CONflicted (see Facebook)…the art of Vincent Alejandro and will be a reflection of my roots in the graffiti/street art world and my love of fine art and the city of Buffalo,” says Vinny. “This show will feature the originals of the Buffalo Series paintings, which are in the same vein as many of the works that I sold in order to raise the money that I needed to relocate my family back to Buffalo (see story). I will also feature some street style art on canvases and mixed media. I am very excited to finally be home and to be able to share my Buffalo based art with the city I call home.”

*Art will be on display in the lounge section of Perk from May 5th until the end of the month with an opening celebration on Friday May 15th from 6-9pm. The event is being hosted and catered by Perk’s Café and Market at 36 Broadway Street in downtown Buffalo.
