There’s a reason that we should all be supporting alt venues the likes of Dreamland. Sometimes you just have to let loose and create some outlandish, creative, over the top events that appeal to the fun-loving person in all of us. From unconventional readings, to over the top alt music experiences, to video game dress up parties, the ability to express oneself, unwind and chill out, comes in all shapes and forms.
Today, Thursday, March 26, 2015, video game lovers will gather at Dreamland, dressed in costume, to play video games on projection screens. As costumed players do their thing, co-host Rory McCormack will play video game music to add to the vibe. There will also be rapping elements by King Zeus.
If this all sounds bizarro to you, then you’re probably not a fan of dressing up, playing video games on the big screen, and listening to eccentric music. Or maybe you love bizarre events, and have found that Dreamland offers up some of the more unusual gatherings around town.
Either way, the Video Game Dress Up Party is scheduled to take place at 8pm, so think about what you’re going to wear, and start exercising your thumbs.
