Silo Sessions, the live music trials held deep within Buffalo’s billowing grain silos, continues to generate an amalgamation of ethereal and intense sounds, which are recorded and broadcasted online.
The latest session to be released features saxophonist Curt Oren of Minneapolis, MN, who tested the limits of his breathing techniques in order to find the best suited sounds for the cavernous space.
This is the 33rd session to be released, and we are fortunate to be able to broadcast the performance here today. You can check out the rest of the performers by visiting Silo Sessions. What you will find is a mix of Buffalo musicians and visiting artists who were invited to showcase their talents while surrounded by cavernous walls of echoing concrete – the results are magical.

“Curt is a frequent collaborator, the most recent collaboration was with Juan Wauters for his new record “Who Me?” out May 12th on Captured Tracks. Curt’s primary musical project is Dana T, a band most easily described as King Crimson fronted by Andy Kaufman.” – Silo Sessions
