The Baffler has done a nice job recounting Buffalo’s rise and fall… and eventual rebirth. It’s an all too familiar story, but told in a way that wraps it all into one tight package, for those who are hoping to get a bird’s eye view of the overlying and underlying issues that Buffalo has faced, and continues to face despite the genuine consensus that the city has finally begun to rise again (even the population due to the influx of refugees).
From the Golden Era to the steep decline, to today, where Green Code meets the Buffalo Billion, writer Catherine Tumber explains where we have come from and where we are [hopefully] going. As long as we don’t get up in the same old pitfalls… and there are many ahead.
