When is comes to beer events in Buffalo, Beerology was one of the first to make a mark. Beerology is more than just standing around drinking beer, although that is fun its own way. For seven years running, Buffalonians have been coming together to learn about what it takes to make a great beer.
Via demonstrations by the Niagara Association of Homebrewers, and presentations from local beerologists, there’s a lot to take in, and a bunch of sampling along the way. If you’re a craft beer lover, then you won’t want to miss out on the 7th Annual Beerology event!
“Some of the new things on tap include Beer Debates, a lecture on the Science of Sours and a new enhanced VIP experience sponsored by Consumer’s Beverages,” says beer enthusiast Suzanne Jaszcz. “Additional sponsors include Katz Americas, KegWorks, Yelp, Alt Buffalo 107.7 and PrePaired Beer & Food. The Buffalo Beer Goddesses will be there once again with another informative display on dispelling hangover myths and of course no Beerology would be complete without home brewing demonstrations from the Niagara Association of Homebrewers. This is the 2nd largest fundraising event of the year for the museum and all proceeds go to the development and execution of educational programs. Riding on the wave of craft beer hype that has recently enveloped the city of Buffalo there will be an increased focus this year on local breweries and restaurants. More than 25 breweries and beer vendors will be on hand featuring such local favorites as Big Ditch Brewing Company, Resurgence and Community Beer Works just to name a few.”
