Restaurant Startup – “From the Streets” features Lloyd Taco

Lloyd Taco has certainly made its mark in this city. And now Lloyd is setting out to make its mark on the world. On February 10, 2015 (10PM ET/PT), the roaming taco slingers will be competing on CNBC‘s hit culinary show, Restaurant Startup – From the Streets. Buffalo’s food truck honchos will be going head to head against another heavy hitting food truck operation called La Cocinita.

The twist in this case is the food truck operators will be grounded, not on wheels. Both teams will be given $7500 and 36 hours to hone a restaurant concept, open a pop-up shop, and win the love (and the financial backing) of restaurateurs and investors Joe Bastianich and Tim Love. The two teams will be set up in a prime brick and mortar location on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.

The judges/critics/investors will be looking closely at the following to pick a winner: “The reaction from the diners, the quality of the branding, and the viability of the business plan.”

Stay tuned to CNBC, and cheer on Buffalo’s hometown heroes as they take LA, and the world, by storm!
