The University Heights Collaborative (UHC) is holding a meeting Tuesday night at the
Gloria J Parks Community Center at 7 pm. A prime discussion topic will be the proposed storage facility proposed for the closed Budwey’s Market at 416 Kenmore Avenue. Joe Dash is proposing to turn the vacant building into a storage facility and construct seven self-storage buildings in the parking lot and many neighbors aren’t happy with the proposal.
“It seems the UHC is not taking a stand against it,” said one neighborhood resident. “They have had several meetings as a board subcommittee. One with Dash and his lawyers. Dash seems to have them convinced that there’s nothing they can do or they are complicit. We’ll see what the UHC’s stance is at the meeting after hearing the public outrage.”
