Buffalo vegans are getting excited about a relatively new meatless dinner series that takes place at various restaurants around the city.
On Monday, February 23, 2015, Coco will be hosting a “Meatless Monday” promotion with a special five course vegan prix fixe dinner that night. The vegan dinner concept is designed to incorporate a delicious vegan meal with a meatless message – that vegan cooking can be delicious, and is good for you and the environment. These initiatives also enable the consumer, who can then decide whether he or she will continue on with their ethical eating practices moving forward.
The first vegan dinner affair was held at Shango on a Tuesday night, and was filled to capacity. The anticipation for the vegan dining experience has led to other restaurants opening their doors to the concept. Essentially, by accommodating a growing sector of the vegan/veggie dining crowd, on what are generally considered “off nights”, the concept is a win-win for the restaurants and the patrons.
