Not all events are created equal. Especially when Flatsitter is in the house. What’s Flatsitter? It’s a collaborative project by Jax Deluca and Kyle Marler. The two have dreamed up the production of a new live performance and virtual reality media installation called SAFE WOR(L)D, which is made possible via the use of an Oculus Rift headset (programming, video, and live sound).
Unfortunately, not many people have access to this type of technology, so it’s kind of a rarity to get to interact with it. But if you’re game to try out a mind-blowing immersion into a 360 degree field that broadcasts electronic mediations, then you might just be one of the lucky ones to make a reservation for an upcoming event.
On January 23, 2015, Hostel Buffalo-Niagara will be the debut host for the interactive, encompassing, mind-viewing experience that responds to your head movements (sound includes bytes from Cronenberg’s film Videodrome). To make a reservation for this utopian getaway, click here.
