Buffalo is lucky to have an artist and a visionary such as puppeteer Michelle Costa in its midst. For years, Michelle has been delighting families with her handmade puppets, clever theatrics, and inspiration presence.
On Saturday, December 6, 2014 at noon, Michelle’s puppet show called TheatreFigüren will be performing at Artists Group Gallery, One Linwood Avenue, Buffalo, New York.
TheatreFigüren is a mix of story telling, puppetry, mime and masks, that is suitable for all ages. All it takes is a little imagination for the original works to come to life. The theatrical affair incorporates sound, music, movement (objects and humans), and sometimes poetry.
Michelle’s puppet creations are remarkable, not just the faces, but the costumes. They must be seen to be believed. Not to mention the whimsical set designs and and painting that is incorporated into the performances. The artist has mastered the art of storytelling through her animated characters.
This holiday season, pull your family away from the TV, and bring them to see a unique holiday performance that they will never forget – there is a lesson learned in every show.
