With all of the incredible storm stories circulating around the 2014 blizzard, first called Snowvember, and now “Knife”, with tales of ThurderSnow to boot, the stories continue to unfold south of Downtown Buffalo. One of those stories of interest is a heavy hitting band (no, not a snow band), caught in the action.
It looks as if the band, Interpol, has been stuck in the storm since the start. The band members were en route to Toronto on a tour bus when they were met by the storm. The bandmates have been living on vodka and dried goods, while watching the chaos ensue around them.
Needless to say, the band missed their gig in Toronto, and making their following appearance in Montreal is questionable (since the last time they Tweeted).
“Still trapped yo! Haven’t really moved in 30 hours and we’ve been on the bus for nearly 40 hours. Nutso. Never seen anything like it.” – Tweet from DK
If you want to follow Interpol’s attempt to break free from the clutches of “Knife”, the storm that pummeled the outskirts of city, you can check out their progress on Twitter or on Stereogum.com.
Last update… 40+ hours and out of booze.
*This post was edited after a comment was posted regarding South Buffalo not being considered a part of the city. This author is sorry for misspeaking – I meant to identify an area of the storm that appears to be beyond the south Buffalo limits, and was not clear in my deliverance.
