With all of the hype surrounding Buffalo’s breweries (it seems as if one opens every month), there are ancillary opportunities arising to take advantage of the booming market.
Before I get started, take a look at all of the pint glasses that you have collected in your kitchen cupboard. Chances are, you have amassed a collection of glassware that boasts national breweries such as Budweiser and Sam Adams, right? Well, with all of the talk about supporting the local beer movement, and/or simply Buffalo for that matter, maybe it’s time to change up those pint glasses for something a bit more Buffalo inspired?
Introducing the Buffalo Beer Mug Company. Founder Michael Tripi is banking that Buffalo beer drinkers will be looking for more inspirational and conversational barware and supplies, including Buffalo-centric pint glasses and mugs, coolies, coasters and magnetic bottle openers. Tripi has created a number of readily identifiable designs that will most likely appeal to the beer lover and the Buffalonian in all of us.
BuffaloBeerMug.com features a number of fun-loving brands, loosely based on a few iconic buildings and personalities. There’s one that pays tribute to Jimmy “Six-Pack” Griffin. Others include Irv Beer Stein, Machine Gun Kellerbier, Growler Cleveland, Elevator Alley Oatmeal Stout and Father Brewmaker.
Obviously Tripi is having a lot of fun playing around with Buffalo’s passion for beer, as it “relates” to the city. In certain instances, he’s simply mashing a couple of different concepts together, with the underlying concept of beer.
Buffalo Beer Mug Company has only recently launched (just in time for the holidays). You can visit the website (see here) or the Facebook page (see here) to keep track on the latest and greatest products and designs.
Here’s to happy beer drinking in Buffalo-inspired fashion!
