For over a year Carl Schmitter, owner of Chateau Buffalo, has been beating the drum for the Niagara Frontier Food Terminal. It was in April of 2103 when Carl pulled stakes from Hertel Avenue and ventured to the terminal, hoping to join a movement with like-minded food operations.
Since that time, Carl has dug his heels in, hosting a number of Happy Hours (including charcuterie pairings) designed around his locally made wines and ciders, while introducing fans to other food purveyors in the region, and at the terminal.
Now Carl is helping to plan an inaugural Terminal Cider Festival, to draw people to a place that he feels has unlimited potential. The festival will feature a number of local cideries, as well as food from R&R BBQ. There will also be live entertainment, with music by Arrow Real (6-7pm) and fire performances by Pyromancy.
“A night of cider tastings and fire performances!”… at a place that is steeped in Buffalo market history (see here).
This is an all ages festival, but you must bring a 21+ ID if you want to drink the hard ciders.
