The ride share operation Lyft came and went in a blink of an eye in Buffalo for a number of reasons. Now Lyft is in the midst of attempting to modify and accommodate some road block regulations that could reopen the doors for the company in NYS cities such as Rochester and Buffalo. It appears that the Rochester possibility is a bit further ahead than Buffalo, according to a recent article in the Democrat and Chronicle.
Now a group of Buffalonians are jumping onboard with the return-Lyft movement. Ride share proponent Dan Franasiak has helped to start a petition that would show that there is support for the initiative in Buffalo. “Buffalo needs ridesharing and we have started a petition to voice the concern of citizens all over WNY that demand Lyft be brought back! Rochester has already started talks with Lyft HQ and NYS, but Buffalo is lagging behind,” wrote Franasiak.
If you are a fan of Lyft, and would like to see it return to Buffalo, consider signing this change.org petition. For background on Lyft, read this BRO article.
