The dog days of summer are officially over, and it’ll soon be the day above all days our pets wait for each year. That’s because they will be getting some extra lovin’ this October 4th for the annual Blessing of the Pets. Here in Buffalo, NorthBuffalo.org will be hosting its inaugural Pet Blessing at Parkside Lutheran Church. This animal loving event welcomes all pets, from cats and dogs to turtles and hedgehogs; all are welcome. The festivities will begin with a welcoming ceremony then the blessing given by Pastor Nate Preisinger.
Bring lawn chairs and blankets and pack a picnic basket because there will be a community picnic held after the event. In the event of rain, the event will take place inside of the church.
“The annual Blessing of the Pets is a wonderful event that happens each year around the globe, and NorthBuffalo.org and I wanted North Buffalo to be a part of it” said Pastor Nate. “This is a beautiful community filled with loving families, and we wanted to bring neighbors together to celebrate the affection we have for our pets.”
