A couple of twin Brazilian brothers have managed to turn a set of 70′ silos into giant works of art on Granville Island in Vancouver, Canada. The story was featured on BoredPanda.com, along with some stunning photos of the artwork. It is said to be the largest artistic undertaking by the brothers, who completed the work as part of a Os Gêmeos’ (Portuguese for The Twins) “Giants” project that has seen sensational graffiti of this nature painted on everything from buildings to walls. The two have been working up to a project of this magnitude over the years, in cities throughout the world. Love it or hate it (I personally love it), the latest creation has generated a giant buzz from graffiti and silo enthusiasts who are in awe of these colorful characters who now tower over the boaters who pass by below. The juxtaposition of whimsy and industrial grit is simply awesome.
Check out how the industrial complex where the figures stand is located across the waterway from the city. Very similar to Buffalo’s layout.
You will also notice that one of the comments after the article reads, “Buffalo NY needs these guys.” I wholeheartedly agree.
