Now that we are regaining much of our waterfront access, that we were denied for so long, it’s time to celebrate. Tomorrow a waterside festival is scheduled to take place at Canalside.
In attendance at this Naval tribute will be the fireboat Edward Cotter, The Spirit of Buffalo, The United States Coast Guard, Hope Chest Rowing Team, and Seven Seas Sailing among others.
The public is invited to come down and witness the musical and ceremonial salute to our waterfront on Saturday, September 6, 2014. The salute concludes with “a solemn wreath laying on the water salute to 911 accompanied by a single bagpipe player.”
Some of the featured entertainment includes the 70-Piece Buffalo Niagara Concert Band, Hogs and Heroes Color Guard and singer/songwriter Caroline Jones.
