Fighting Pretty’s Annual Drink Pink Event

For the second year in a row, Ristorante Lombardo on Hertel Avenue will be hosting an event that simply asks patrons to stop in and order a “Fighting Pretty” pink cocktail. 100% of the proceeds from every drink ordered will go towards the non-profit, Fighting Pretty – an organization that aims to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer.

“For the second year in a row, we are honored to work with Fighting Pretty in the fight against breast cancer and are excited to not only give our clientele a feel-good experience, but a great drink too.” said Tommy Lombardo, owner of Ristorante Lombardo.

Fighting Pretty is a benefit that coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event was originally founded in NYC by Kara Skaflestad, a five year breast cancer survivor. The money raised for the event helps to send out “Pretty Packages” to those battling breast cancer, so that they might feel their best at their time of need. To date, over 800 care packages have been sent around the globe.

“Tommy, Ristorante Lombardo and the Buffalo community have been huge supporters of Fighting Pretty, and it is an honor to have a special drink created in honor of all women battling this disease.” said Skaflestad. “Tommy came to us last year with this idea, and it was incredible. Not only are we able to raise funds to create Pretty Packages for women battling cancer, but the event itself is a celebration for all that we do. The Buffalo community can contribute and have fun doing it.”

Now, Laura Pillich, Buffalo’s Fighting Pretty Brand Ambassador, asks that you stop by Ristorante Lombardo at 1198 Hertel Avenue, Buffalo, NY for the 2nd Annual Drink Pink Event Kick-Off Night on October 1, 2014. The campaign ends on October 12, 2014. “It’s a great cause and helps women feel beautiful, sexy and confident during and after cancer treatment,” says Pillich.

Wear something pink and enjoy a matching cocktail!
