Porchfest has become such a hit in Buffalo, that the organizers are planning another one that will take place this fall.
On Saturday, October 4th, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm in the Elmwood Village area, neighbors will open up their porches to local bands that will then proceed to jam for people as they walk from venue to venue and stage to stage. Of course the venues are people’s houses and the stages are their front porches.
The live music is provided by talented musicians in the area who happily perform in an outdoor arena unlike any other. It’s the perfect scenario for music lovers to explore the Elmwood Village, bands to play outdoors, and house dwellers to turn their front yards into miniature amphitheaters.
This is the third Porchfest to take place in Buffalo. To learn more about the event, check out www.buffaloporchfest.org. If you are interested in being a part of Elmwood Village Association’s amazing endeavor, offer up your porch or your music talents and get involved with a grassroots community movement that continues to grow.
*Musicians play music appropriate for all-ages at unplugged sound levels.
