It’s been about a year since a group of female beer lovers came together to form the Buffalo Beer Goddesses. This Thursday, the Goddesses will celebrate their One Year Anniversary Party at Mr. Goodbar to kick-start Buffalo Beer Week!
“The Buffalo Beer Goddesses (BBG) were founded to fill a need in the beer world, a place where women who like to home brew, were in the industry or just liked to drink beer could share their appreciation,” says BBG co-chair Tracey Maciejewski. “We started as a Facebook page of a few women and have grown to a following of over 350 from all areas of Buffalo and beyond, from all walks of life.”
Like all Buffalo Beer Goddess socials, the One-Year Anniversary Party is co-ed. A $10 entry fee will include a drink ticket for a Flying Bison Brewery or Big Ditch Brewery pint of beer, Mr. Goodbar wings, BBG made foods and a one-time only tasting of the Goddesses homebrew “Pegulaville Pale Ale”. Leonard Oaks will also be present, pouring samples of Steampunk Cider (for those who can’t drink beer!). Plenty of local brewery swag will be available for the picking.
The Buffalo Beer Goddesses will also host another Buffalo Beer Week event, coined “Throwback Thursday” on October 2nd at the Lennox Grill. More information about “Throwback Thursday” is available on the event page.
Each month, the Buffalo Beer Goddesses host a co-ed social and a female only planning meeting. Follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Untapd to see what and where they will be drinking next!
