This Monday, Buffalo’s oldest tavern will be celebrating its recent restoration and reopening. Ulrich’s Tavern will be serving up complementary hors d’oeuvres and authentic German food and beer from 3pm to close. Proprietor Salvatore Buscaglia, who painstakingly worked to revive the legacy of the tavern, is planning on closing down Virginia Street (from Washington to Ellicott Street), where there will be Red Bull sponsored tents, with traditional fare and live German music by The Frankfurters. There will also be beer tastings by Hamburg Brewery.
