The Western New York Book Art Center will be holding its annual Bookfest on August 9th, 2014 from 11am to 5pm, at its downtown digs located at 468 Washington Avenue. The book festival is open to the entire community and features an artists’ market, book and printmaking demonstrations, and steamroller printing.
The artists’ market will be held on the ground floor of the building, where visitors will have the opportunity to purchase local handmade goods, including hand-bound books, letterpress prints, small press publications, and handmade crafts.
In addition to book and printmaking, there will be demonstrations in origami bookmaking, bookbinding, letterpress, and screenprinting. All demos are free and open to the public.
