As the Director of Startup Grind Buffalo, I would like to offer insight into an incredible asset we have brought to the entrepreneurial landscape in Buffalo. The concept and the location both provide the perfect mixed environment of collaboration and innovation. We provide the opportunity to make connections for people, ideas, and even businesses. Anyone and everyone from the community is encouraged to show up and connect with the entrepreneurial society that leaders, such as Andrew Cuomo, are working so incredibly hard to produce.
Startup Grind is a global event series designed to help educate, inspire, and connect local entrepreneurs. Powered by Google for Entrepreneurs, each month we welcome amazing speakers; successful local founders, innovators, educators and investors who share their stories about what worked, what didn’t and the lessons learned along the way to building great companies. Given all the buzz and positive energy around Buffalo recently, Startup Grind is the best way to showcase the amazing people working to make Buffalo great!
People from all sectors show up to offer their services. For example, see Leslie Zemsky (Larkin Development Group) at Startup Grind Buffalo in the following video:
The events are being held at the Dig co-working space and incubator. The event typically begins at 6 and “ends” at 9. Though, people are still talking far beyond then (we encourage it). We have food, beer, and a “Shark tank” style presentation, as well.
Our next event will be on Wednesday, July 30th. Mitchell Patterson will be the lead speaker for the night (he and I will discuss his careers). Mitchell Patterson has been operating, advising, or investing in technology companies in New York State since 2008. Most recently, he served as the Managing Director for Emerging Business at CenterState CEO and the Co-Director for the Syracuse Technology Garden. He works for Armory Square VC. After that, on August 27th will be Ty Shattuck of Aethon Technologies.
Startup Grind Buffalo | Mitchell Patterson | Wednesday, July 30th | 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT) | $10 on Eventbrite | Learn more about the event by clicking here.
