East Aurora Racing Club | 2 Days of Buffalo

This summer, East Aurora Racing Club (EARC) is doing something that Buffalo has not seen in many years. The club is offering a multi-stage bike race that is scheduled to take place at three different “tracks” over the course of two days – “2 Days in Buffalo”.

From a McKinley Time Trial to the South Park Criterium Race to the Niagara Square Criterium, the races and time trials run from long, fast and flat to short, fast and intense.

Here’s all the info:

2 Day – 3 Stage Bike Race in Buffalo – August 2nd and 3rd

Stage 1 – Saturday August 2nd 2014 – McKinley Time Trial
Stage 2 – Saturday August 2nd 2014 – South Park Circuit Race
Stage 3 – Sunday August 3rd 2014 – Niagara Square Criterium

Stage 1 – Saturday August 2nd 2014 – McKinley Time Trial – ROAD BIKES ONLY

Course:
The course for stage 1 is in the city’s “South Buffalo” neighborhood. The start is located North of South Park on Reading, turns down Hopkins and into the park. Winds through the park’s ring and back for a short, fast, and intense 4.6 mile time trial setting the stage for the remaining stages.

Stage 2 – Saturday August 2nd 2014 – South Park Circuit Race

Course:
The course for stage 2 is located in Buffalo’s Olmsted Park – South Park – directly next to stage 1. The Start/Finish is located at the top of the small rise in terrain. Laps are 1.44 mi in length and should prove to be fast and fun. Multiple distances based on ability level.

Stage 3 – Sunday August 3rd 2014 – 3rd Annual Niagara Square Criterium

Course:
Stage 3 of this omnium race is on a 0.8 mile lap Criterium course in the center of Buffalo’s Central Business District. It is flat and fast, but is technical with multiple turns making this one of the area’s best criterium courses. Multiple distances based on ability level.
