The Buffalo Touring Company (BTC) has announced that it has struck up two new collaborations with historic Buffalo sites. Each of the new sites will be launching points for Segway tours that would then lead tourists into respective areas of the city. BTC is currently putting together tour details that would include free/discounted admission to the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site (free), Buffalo History Museum (free) and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery (discounted).
Once the new routes are established, tourists that embark from the Wilcox Mansion (Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site) will be led to Kleinhans Music Hall, First Presbyterian Church, and throughout historic Allentown. The Albright-Knox tour will include areas surrounding the gallery. “The History Museum, the TR Site, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery are cultural assets in Buffalo,” notes Brandon Jonas, President of Buffalo Touring Company. “We think these collaborations, as well as our new touring route, will only add to our guests’ enjoyment of the Segway touring experience and allow them the opportunity to experience more of what our great City has to offer.”
Since its original formations, the Segway tours have been centralized around the Buffalo History Museum. Due to the success at the museum, additional tour packages are being established. I’m sure that it won’t be long before we see this tour company setting up at the waterfront, and along Main Street. It would appear to be the perfect fit with the renaissance that is taking place.
*Tours are offered weekly, weather permitting. Per regulations, guests must be at least 16 years of age and between 100 and 260 pounds in order to ride.
