Allen Street Extension Project Ramps Up

What will the connection between Allen Street and the Medical Campus one day look like? Interested parties are invited to give input at an upcoming meeting held by the Department of Public Works and Parks and Streets. This is the second meeting of this nature, and is designed to gather additional community questions, suggestions and concerns on the future design concepts for the Buffalo Medical Campus Phase III Allen Street Extension Project (see details of initial meeting). The following video shows how the campus will connect to the street (for the most part), but does not have much detail as far as Allen Street is concerned.

This coming phase of the project includes streetscape improvements on Allen Street between Main and Wadsworth. If you are familiar with the current infrastructure conditions along Allen Street, then you are aware of just how important this leg of the project is.

Meeting | Allen Street Extension Project | Wednesday, July 16, 2014 | 6:00-8:00PM | Olmsted Center for Sight | 1170 Main Street | www.allenstreetextension.com

Formal presentation will begin at 6:00PM | The City has retained the services of Bergmann Associates, in conjunction with their partners Halvorson Design Partnership, Ravi Engineering, RK Hite & Co., and Highland Planning. Other parties include The Allentown Association, the Office of Strategic Planning, NYS DOT, and the BNMC.
