Final Push Needed for Foundry Lofts in Marvin’s Architects Challenge

Marvin Window and Doors’ annual Architects Challenge Showdown is underway and a North Buffalo project needs your help making it to the next round. Foundry Lofts has made the first two cuts with 25 entries remaining for the People’s Choice award.

The Showdown contains multiple rounds of voting. 125 submissions have been whittled down to the current 25. The top five vote getters will move on to the next round. Foundry Lofts currently stands at No. 17 13 10 with four days one day remaining. You do not have to register to vote but can only vote once/day.

Rocco Termini’s Signature Development converted the former General Railway Signal Co. complex into a mix of twenty-one guest rooms, three dozen apartments, a banquet facility, and commercial space. A central interior courtyard is a key feature of the $18 million complex. BMS Design is project architect and L2K Design handled the interior design work.

Approximately 300 new windows were used in the project at a cost of $1 million.

Help push this National Register reuse project to the finish line over the competition, many of which are new-build McMansions. Remember, voting for this round ends Sunday. A winner will be decided on July 13.
