This weekend, on June 21st and 22nd, the Interior Design Association will be hosting their Trims to Treasures event at the Interior Design Resource Center on the corner of Elmwood and Great Arrow. People can come in and buy the showroom’s inventory, which includes aisles of fabric, chairs, lamps, cabinets, shelves, and other room decorations at a reduced cost.
The event will benefit the Ronald McDonald house of Buffalo, which the Association has done work with in the past. “We have a suite of rooms there named after former (Interior Design Association) president Anne Medinac,” said current president Michelle Peller White. “It’s called the Sweet Suite.”
This will be the sixth year that this event is held, though the first held in the Interior Design Resource Center showroom. The showroom is generally not open to the public since, as White put it, “this space is for interior designers to bring in clients to choose what they want. This event will help give the public a general idea what it’s like to have an interior designer working for them.”
The event runs from 10am to 3pm on Saturday and 11am to 3pm on Sunday.
