One of the best things about meditation, is that you can do it anywhere. As we have seen recently in Buffalo, meditative/healing teachings can be found just about everywhere, from Grant Street to the waterfront. While there are plenty of meditative opportunities around the city, it’s rare to get a chance to participate in a spiritual healing session on a 73′ schooner out on the waters of Lake Erie. For the second year in a row, James Pilc, M.D. will be conducting his Meditation Sunset Sails on the Spirit of Buffalo. He states, “We are grateful to return to the Buffalo waterfront to provide this evening of peace and relaxation and fuse the healing properties of water and meditation.”
Due to the successful turnout on last year’s voyage retreat, the chance has once again presented itself to anyone who is interested in being a part of this group aquatic meditation, while sharing the philosophies of Buddhist meditation, contemplative prayer and deep relaxation. “I participated in one of Dr. Pilc’s meditation sails last summer,” writes one participant. “I had never gone on such a sail before and, I will admit, I signed up as much for the opportunity to enjoy Buffalo’s waterfront, as for the unknown experience that awaited. I have to say that at the end of the Meditation Sail, I was amazed at the rejuvenation of mind and body that resulted from the combination of Dr. Pilc’s expertise and the tranquility of actually being on the water. It was a truly authentic meditation experience, much more than I anticipated and I look forward to sharing in the sail again this summer.”
These sailing excursions are perfect for anyone who is need of physical, emotional, energetic or spiritual healing. Western Medicine, Eastern Medicine and Meditative Self-Healing will all be components of the sails.
