When’s the last time there were five tower cranes plying on the Buffalo skyline? Contractors are working on retaining walls, the foundation, and installing the base of a crane for Uniland Development Company’s 250 Delaware Avenue project. It will mean there could be five cranes in and around downtown but only for a few days. The shorter southern crane at the HARBORCENTER site is expected to be dismantled later this week.
250 Delaware Avenue will contain 204,000 sq.ft of office space, a 120 room hotel, 10,000 sq.ft. of retail space, and 380 parking spaces in a four-level ramp. It will be anchored by Delaware North Cos. that is taking half of the office floors. The building is designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects and HHL Architects.
