Build Handmade Buffalo (BHB) will be at the Elmwood-Bidwell farmers market on June 7th to raise money for GO Bike Buffalo and the Buffalo Maritime Center. Members will ride handmade tandem bikes towing a handmade canoe filled with ceramic mugs to the market. People who donate to the project will receive one of those mugs. Sounds like a good father’s day idea, plus you can take it Caffe Aroma to get a free cup of coffee!
BHB is a unique group that celebrates the handmade object. They plan on spotlighting local artists and craftsman that specialize in creating handmade artwork. They also plan on attending additional farmers’ markets to get their message out.
All donations will go towards the GO Bike Buffalo and Buffalo Maritime Center’s youth programs, which will teach kids how to create handmade things. Among those will be bikes and boats.
